So…cool thank you but I’ve been waiting for a video that explains how to do the work of building an earth ship for years. For people who don’t have any building experience, understanding how the tire wall becomes the framed in area, what order of operations are important in getting the layers of tires appropriate to get the framing placed, how do you layer the roof to the frame and tires, what problems have been solved in new models. I bought the app a long time ago but reading the blueprints and translating that to a plan of attack, along with the factors to consider like septic systems normally required. This video is great but it would be awesome if you guys put out this material and more details on constructing, so more people can do this alone with less skills or experience. I would love to know the difference in the models so far. Adjusting to this style of home. Show us the good and bad so it’s less daunting. How do these systems work when having a normal septic system. Maybe along with pros and cons you could show more of the older homes and how they transform the landscape over time. ❤

Hey Michael, big fan of your work. I think you can get cost & labor hours way down by using a belt lift like miners do to trolley the dirt up to where you need it. That way the guy up top filling the tires only has to move the belt lift over to the next tire. It would be way quicker IMO and way cheaper, way easier. To make this really a viable solution we'd need to brainstorm a way to get filling those tires cheaper & quicker. That's your last real stumbling block. You're a true innovative & creative NM pioneer sir! You got this!

I love seeing how the layout of the Puerto Rican Earthship is so different from those in New Mexico. The basic concepts are the same, but the buildings and plantings are adapted to the different environments. This one looks hurricane proof.
